  "all McDonald's locations are the same" - I probably could have been caught saying this several years ago, but I will never say it again. In the Grand Rapids area alone I've visited probably 12-15 McDonald's locations and they are all a little different - some have more friendly staff, some serve re-heated food from the night before, some make everything fresh right away, some have team members that smile and make eye contact, some have team members who throw your food to you out the drive-thru window and mumble "havaniceday" without ever looking at you.
  This 44th Street location is the best McDonald's in the area in my opinion. The food has always been fresh, the team members are usually very friendly, and the location is organized well - including an outside gazebo seating area! We have another McDonald's location closer to us than this one, but we will always opt for this specific location over the one by us as it really is just that much better.
  
  Word to the wise: don't try to turn left out of the parking lot unless traffic is light. You're going to have a bad time.

  I think the atmosphere at this McD's is relaxing. If it's not too busy, the dining area is spacious and comfortable.
